ONE SMALL STONE

Cacophony. Tuning up
in Disney Concert Hall.
The distinguished gentleman
with immaculately shaped
silver hair and beard
strokes his violin;
the kettle-drummer
kettles, abstractly;
the tuba player empties
spittle from the bowels
of his instrument. Soon,
